Jets @ Bills game snowed out!
The NFL has announced that the Buffalo Bills home game against the New York Jets will not be played at the Ralph, due to the massive snowstorm that has taken over the city, literally, by storm. According to multiple sources in the know, the sites that are in the running to host this game include Detroit (Ford Field), Pittsburgh (Heinz Field) and Washington, D.C (FedEx Field). The Lions and Redskins are on the road this weekend and the Steelers have a bye.
To get to either place from Buffalo, you are looking at 215 miles from Buffalo to Pittsburgh, 256 miles from Buffalo to Detroit, and 389 miles from Buffalo to FedEx Field in Washington. The game will likely be played on Monday Night, though it will not be recognized as an official Monday Night game (meaning that it will not be televised by the Mothership). The Bills have yet to practice this week due to a travel ban, limiting travel within the city. No word on what will happen to those with tickets to this game, whether they will be able to be redeemed at another home game this season or not.
Football aside, we here at GERE hope that everyone in the city of Buffalo stays warm and safe during this rather difficult time.
